- Teiko coming up to me one evening and pulling my face down to hers and kissing me on the cheek goodnight.
- Sitting on my front porch surrounded by all my children reading my children’s storybook Bible to them.
- Godfred saying, “The rain beat you,” when I fell in all the slippery mud trying to walk to the girl’s house during the heavy rain and storm.
- Justiana and Comfort combing my hair while Abigail lays her head in my lap and falls asleep as I talk and tell stories with Mary, Justiana, and Comfort.
- The children calling me Ma Jenny, Jenny Flower, or Jenny Flowers…Jenny Flowers all the time…but most of all I like Ma Jenny.
- Creating glass bead Christmas ornaments with the girls while singing praise songs to God…worshiping together through creating art was so beautiful!
- Learning the local language Twi and trying out my new phrases with the children and adults who all seem to smile and enjoy my efforts.
- Playing hopscotch with the girls and Ma Paulina, the house mom, in the dirt with a stone.
- Being surrounded by God’s beautiful creation here in the bush of Africa!
